This demo shows how SAWGraph can connect PFAS testing results from private water supply wells with aquifer and well data. It identifies aquifers associated with locations where high PFOA concentrations have been reported and other wells associated with those aquifers.

Demo Results
The map shows private water supply sample points, aquifers, and wells returned from the SAWGraph query based on the datasets currently represented in the graph. Results therefore reflect the scope and version of those datasets, as well as the conditions of the query.
Together, these results demonstrate how contamination observations can be connected with groundwater and well data to help identify locations where additional investigation or testing may be useful.
For this demonstration, nearby Maine Geological Survey aquifers have been combined into larger aquifer systems. The current aquifer information is limited and is being expanded.
The map is interactive. Pan and zoom to explore the results, use the layer controls to show or hide different types of features, and explore mapped features for additional information.
